It feels like January just started and already February is here. This month is one heavily marketed as the month of love, as Valentine’s Day is on the fourteenth. Already most stores have chocolate covered candies and oversized plush toys for sale, geared toward to couples as a way to show their love to one another. This month however, we want to you to remember to love yourself first and foremost, whether you are in a relationship or not. Put yourself first by honoring your divine feminine this month.
Many of us are already familiar with the self-love or self-help movement which has given us permission to put ourselves first. The next evolutionary step is to move beyond learning to love ourselves and stand in our power to reclaim the divine feminine within.
We honor the divine feminine within ourselves through intentional practice. Divine Feminine energy is a state of awareness that is connected to wisdom, harmony, and peace. It is a route to the higher self; therefore, anyone can connect to divine feminine energy. Start by creating and honoring healthy boundaries, allowing time to reconnect with the inner self. Crave out time daily to connect with the arts. Try your hand at painting or sketching; master a new recipe you’ve always wanted to try; sing your heart out in the shower. Transform your personal space into a sacred sanctuary. Experiment with billowy curtains, tapestries, artwork, flowers, candles and natural objects that bring in the earth element.
Traditions are rich with ritual, because they bring sacredness to any act. When we infuse our life with ritual, we become more awakened, mindful and empowered. Try a guided meditation where you express gratitude and remain open to intuitive guidance. Practice grounding exercises, such as calm breathing exercises or journaling before bed.
Make time in nature a non-negotiable part of your day. We might not always have time for a trip to the beach or the mountains, but even small moments spent outside can make a big difference. Sip your morning coffee in the backyard as the sunrises, take a walk outside on your lunch break, water the flowers in your garden when you get home. It always helps to get fresh air.
Recognize life as a cycle and celebrate where you are right now. Start living the life you envisioned for yourself as a small child, full of purpose and passion and happiness. Step into your power through authenticity. Commit to yourself, not who you think you are supposed to be. You are a powerful, resilient, strong and vulnerable being. Knowing and naming your vulnerabilities while embracing your truth is a tremendous strength.
These Sacred Sister Circles become birth centers for social change where we support, encourage, and empower one another honoring the divine feminine within. Wherever you are in the cycle of growth, know you have the power to change not only yourself, but the world around you.
