Robina Royer

MS, AMFT #157971, APCC #20519

I view therapy as a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, exploration, and self-discovery. Together, we’ll look at the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that shape how you see yourself and the world, and examine whether this framing still serves you. To me, therapy is not just about relieving distress. It’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been lost, buried, or forgotten; getting clearer on who you are and what matters to you; and allowing yourself to step into your big, beautiful life. I bring compassion, curiosity, and honesty into the room. Whether you’re navigating a relationship, a transition, or a major life decision, my goal is to help you explore it deeply enough that when you move forward, you can do so with clarity and confidence.

Meet Robina

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in professional services marketing, leadership, and executive coaching. Much of that work involved helping people navigate high-pressure environments, questions of work-life balance, personal fulfillment, and what success truly meant to them. Over time, I realized I was most drawn to the human side of the work — helping individuals explore identity, purpose, stress, burnout, and major life transitions. That realization ultimately led me to become a therapist. My background in coaching and career counseling informs a grounded, empathetic, and practical therapeutic style that integrates emotional insight with real-world context.

Who I Work With

Therapy With Me Feels Like

I meet clients where they are at the moment, while also keeping in mind the goals we’ve set together. I bring curiosity, compassion, and creativity into the room, and there’s a certain fluidity to our work.  Some sessions are more reflective and insight-oriented, where we notice patterns, explore the stories that have shaped your life, and consider new paths forward. Others may focus on grounding, nervous system regulation, or simply getting through a difficult week. Therapy with me is both exploratory and practical, guided by what feels most needed in the moment.

Let'sGet Started

Sometimes in life, we reach a point where we need a course correction. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand how you arrived where you are — and where you want to go next. The process is rarely linear. Growth often happens through small shifts, new insights, and ongoing adjustments along the way. Therapy asks for courage, honesty, and vulnerability, but it can also lead to greater clarity, confidence, and resilience. If my approach resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. I work with clients at the S.A.G.E. office in Santa Ana, or online anywhere in California.
