“Together, let’s re-create the self that satisfies your soul.” -Sadaf Shalchian
My name is Sadaf Shalchian and I am passionate about igniting the process of metamorphosis in others and helping individuals transform through the transitions in life.
Find yourself avoiding or distracting away from your pain, or attempting to manage symptoms without support?
It would be my honor to work with you on these issues and help you address your emotional suffering to prevent you from experiencing more cumulative damage overtime.
We all have been held back, we all have been through small or big traumas, events and experiences that have allowed our belief system to become about survival and not about thriving.
If life has presented you with change or is requiring change from you, you might be going through a life transition. This life transition could include soul-searching, trauma, marital issues, divorce, break-up, singleness, marriage, starting a new career or school, emotional abuse, death of a loved one, bullying or harassment, loss, or even gain; which can bring feelings of misalignment with the true self, feelings of being lost or stuck, and feelings of hopelessness or a state of directionless.
The negative experience we go through as life goes on contaminates our thought process, emotions, and our behavior. In this case, we tend to view the world through a trauma lens that impacts our relationship with ourselves and others.
This could all ignite emotional disturbances such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger, sadness, guilt, and shame, problems with sleep or physical pain, and an encounter with turbulence in your personal and professional relationships. Therefore it is helpful to seek help!
“Love is a constant process of tuning in, connecting, missing and misreading cues, disconnecting, repairing, and finding deeper connection. It is a dance of meeting and parting and finding each other again, minute to minute and day to day.” - Dr. Sue Johnson
I believe that relationships can be built to experience more of the innate compatibility, deeper love, and deeper connection through learning about connection as well as relationship skills. I believe preventative care is of utmost importance and I encourage couples to start early; learn about connection and the role it plays in your lives as well as the required relationship skills for a fulfilling, purposeful and intentional relationship, tailored just for you. A lot of heartache, headache, and disconnect can be prevented when a couple learns how to be good together from the start.
I use well-researched and world-known techniques such as EMDR (best treatment for trauma), Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family System, Relational Life Therapy and other therapeutic techniques to meet you right where you are to help you uproot the weeds of the past and plant new seeds for your future to enhance personal and relational healing and growth.
