Looking for a therapist in Tustin, CA who truly gets it? Isabel is a bicultural Mexican American, queer, first-generation college graduate and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #155756) at S.A.G.E. Holistic Health & Wellness Center. As a first-born daughter breaking generational cycles in her own family, she brings lived understanding — not just clinical training — to the work of healing trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity. Isabel offers individual, couples, and family therapy in-person in Tustin and virtually throughout California.
I’m a first-born daughter and granddaughter, a spiritual person, a first-generation college graduate, a brown Mexican American woman, and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. These identities aren’t separate from how I show up as a therapist — they are how I show up. Growing up, I learned to feel a lot of things my family never had the safety to feel themselves, and that’s exactly why I’m so passionate about helping people build on their resilience while healing, individually and within their families and communities.
If you hold intersecting identities too — cultural, spiritual, queer, first-gen, or otherwise — I want you to know there’s room for all of it here, in whatever way feels right to you.
My own therapy journey gave me the chance to rediscover myself and build healthier relationships on the other side of my healing. I want to help you find that too. In session, I bring a calm, grounding presence and my genuine sense of humor, when it fits because therapy can feel heavy, and my hope is that you never carry that weight alone.
I provide therapy in English. As a second-generation Mexican American, I understand more Spanish than I speak, and I welcome you to bring in your native language whenever it feels more authentic to you.
Clients often tell me I’m the first therapist, sometimes the first person, they’ve felt safe enough to open up about the heaviest things they carry. They mention my transparency, my respect for their pace, and my non-judgmental curiosity as what made that possible.
I know opening up is scary, even when it’s someone’s whole job to listen. I don’t expect your trust right away — I want to earn it. Therapy with me is a two-way conversation: you bring what matters to you, I bring a treatment plan and structure to guide us, and we adjust it together as we go.
*S.A.G.E. offers sliding scale fees determined upon your financial need. Please contact us to discuss your particular financial situation to determine the session fee.
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands what it means to hold multiple identities at once — and who won’t ask you to leave any part of yourself at the door — I’d love to talk. Reach out to schedule a session with me at S.A.G.E. Holistic Health & Wellness Center in Tustin, CA, or connect virtually from anywhere in California.
Answers to Common Questions About Our Services
Absolutely. You don’t need to hit rock bottom to benefit from support. Many of our clients come in feeling “stuck,” overwhelmed, or just wanting a safe space to process life. If you’re curious — that’s enough.
We combine evidence-based therapy with holistic support like Reiki, spiritual care, and community education. As a nonprofit, we focus on healing — not hustling. You’re not just a number here.
Our holistic therapists are trained to hold space for you no matter where you fall on the spectrum of religion or spirituality – or absence of it. We have worked with a large number of folx who are recovering from spiritual abuse, religious trauma or who are having a faith crisis, but that doesn’t mean we have to even talk about spirituality/religion at all during your therapy sessions. If it’s important to you, we create the space for you to explore it in our work together.
It means we treat you as a whole person — not just a diagnosis. We look at mental health, emotional wellbeing, nervous system support, and a variety of other holistic approaches including consulting with your other holistic professional team members if you desire.
